STATUE OF LIBERTY -
ELLIS ISLAND FOUNDATION

Freelance // Editorial Design // 1 week

With an exciting new exhibition opening up at Ellis Island in the upcoming months, SOLEIF came to me in need for a brochure redesign. Their marketing materials were in desperate need of an update and with more and more eyes on them as the exhibition neared it's grand opening, they wanted to make sure everything looked as updated as possible.

The assets provided to me from the foundation seemed to be either recent modern photos of the Statue of Liberty or older more nostalgic ones. To provide the foundation with options I ran with both a modern "Teal" version on par with the sleek design their new exhibition would bring, and an "old school newspaper" concept nostalgic of it's celebrated era.

Redesigned Brochure & Concepts

Initially, the brochure was meant to be a bifold with additional information for a membership sign-up. As production budgets were being cut down so too was the brochure. The information going on the brochure cut in half. From a design perspective, the bifold turned double sided and the approved design ended up being a mix of both nostalgia, conveyed through the font selection and pastel colors, and modern in it's layout.
